SciFi and Fantasy Art: Lorelai

Lorelai is the main NPC of the Rune game (a D&D game run by Chris). She's a warrior type, hence the halberd, but she has a soft side (don't let that get around). Lorelai comes from a family of warrior types but since she was a girl there was not-so-good reactions to her joining up. She left home, was a mercenary for a while, and got saddled babysitting a half-elf with amnesia and a Rune of Death and a half-elf with a cloak fetish and a pick-pocket problem. But they're a tightnit bunch and they've gone through some tough times. She recently played matchmaker to Tavllyn and Shay, which was nice but she needs someone of her own... One day her prince will come, I just know it.

I want Chris to dance on this one...he's gotta do the kobold mating dance!!!! It is after all his character...or NPC...or whatever. I love the way the halberd came out and the pensive far-away look on her face. It's a beautiful pic sweetie.

22 Elizabeth Anne Barone replies: "NO! There shall be no mating dances for my stuff and that's final!!! Argh! Brain boiling at the thought!!! Argh, I say, ARGH!!!!"

I'm not even going to ask about that kobold mating dance...heh, I had a kobold once, little multiweapon 1/2 dragon bugger, got the snot beat out of him a an ogre...on more relevant topics, the halberd seems to have turned out really well, although the blade seems very small, and I kind of didn't notice at first. 'Till I read the descrip I thought she was holding a quarterstaff and had something on her head. Again, a great job with the head and great choice in poses! I hope to see even more like this!

12 Elizabeth Anne Barone replies: "Somethin' on her head, eh? Anyway, thank you for the comment. The blade's small 'cause I didn't want it to look like a sickle. I'm still new at weapons. One day though... Glad you like the pose. Don't know where it came from but I hope that genius will strike again. "

This one is sooo gorgeous!!*does a little dance for Lorelai from Shay* Halberd....*drool* came out soo...sooo....niffty, I wish I could draw weapons. Lorelai does need to get laid though...maybe then she won't be so angry all the time. Sex = tention releif!

22 Elizabeth Anne Barone replies: "Whoa... don't wanna picture Lorelai in the sack. That poor guy... heh heh. Anyway, that halberd is one of the better weapons that I've done. Still have a lot to learn though. References are a wonderful thing!"

Mwa ha ha! Love this pic! Love it! And the blade is supposed to be a little narrow... it's lighter and easier to whip around that way... Have you ever tried to weild a battle axe on a 6' stick? Oh the arm strain!

1 Elizabeth Anne Barone replies: "See everybody, I did do a good job, I did!"

Hook ME up? Please Tavllyn, I've seen who you used to hang out with... Don't do me any "favors". If I wanted a man that badly I'd just grab one.

22 Elizabeth Anne Barone replies: "That's half your problem right there. The man won't be able to help you if you grab him... treat it nice and it can be your friend. And as for hooking you up with one of my friends... please, I would never do that! They're my friends, how cruel do you think I'd be to them? Hehehe Love Ya! ~Tavllyn"

Once again, how I envy you... the costume and the weapon look awesome. As does she of course, but the details are great.

3 Elizabeth Anne Barone replies: "Envy me? Really? WoOoOow. That's one of the nicest things I've heard all day *sniff* Course... it's 8 in the morning, who knows what could happen. Seriously though, thank you Sheila!"

You managed to put a lot of emotion into her pose, plus the 'stargazing' look on her face really wrings the heart. I can't help feeling for these kind of characters, doing so much for others, silently waiting for their turn. BTW, the weapon is very nicely proportioned to her body size. It looks wicked cool too!

2 Elizabeth Anne Barone replies: "Thanks so much! With this one I was going for vulnerable because in game she was always so tough but you could sense that there was more to her than that. I like multi-demensional characters. As for her weapon... yeah, that came out hot. I would not want to be on her bad side!"

Your work is so amazing! It just makes me want to draw something!

You are so great with poses and shoulders... I love it!

1 Elizabeth Anne Barone replies: "Such high praise! Thank you very much! I hope I inspired a really cool pic 2 "
